O you have been our dwelling place for all time
For generations we come to you to hear our prayers
Before the mountains ascended, before the earth came to be
From everlasting to everlasting you are God

From dust we came and to dust we return to you my God
For a thousand years are as yesterday in your eyes
You sweep them away as a morning’s dream
As grass that withers in the eve
Teach us to count our every day with wise hearts

For all our years come to an end with a sigh
All that we have done and left undone is in your sight
On all our pain and brokenness you shine your light of love
When all our days come to an end, we fly away

From dust we came and to dust we return to you my God
For a thousand years are as yesterday in your eyes
You sweep them away as a morning’s dream
As grass that withers in the eve
Teach us to count our every day with wise hearts

How long until you turn to us, O God of love
May your compassion come to us and fill our hearts
Satisfy us in the morning with love that never dies
So that all our days may be filled with glad rejoicing

From dust we came and to dust we return to you my God
For a thousand years are as yesterday in your eyes
You sweep them away as a morning’s dream
As grass that withers in the eve
Teach us to count our every day with wise hearts
Teach us to count our every day with wise hearts…
