In their first tour since the Covid pandemic, Celtic Psalms will be traveling through the Northeast US from July 1-17, 2022. Tune: Far, Far Beyond Yon Mountains

Words: Kiran Young Wimberly © 2022

Majestic is your name O God
Your name in all the earth
Majestic is your name O God
Your name in all the earth
When I see the work of your fingers
The moon, the stars, the sun
All things on earth are in their place
Majestic is your name

Majestic is your name O God
Your name in all the earth
Majestic is your name O God
Your name in all the earth
Who are mortals that you consider
Or that you think of them
They are underneath the angels
Majestic is your name

Majestic is your name O God
Your name in all the earth
Majestic is your name O God
Your name in all the earth
You have placed creation in our care
All that has life and breath
May we show respect and dignity
Majestic is your name

Tune: For Ireland I’ll Not Tell Her Name

Words: Kiran Young Wimberly © 2022

To you I will lift up my soul
In you, O my God, do I trust
In the stillness I wait for your voice
To guide me in what I should do

And lead me to do what is right
And teach me your loving ways
Lead me onward into your truth
For I wait for you all the day long

Remember your mercy and love
For they are from ages of old
Do not think of how we have strayed
But forgive us when we have done wrong

And lead me to do what is right
And teach me your loving ways
Lead me onward into your truth
For I wait for you all the day long

For those who follow your ways
For those who do walk in your paths
Is friendship with God who will save
Who will guide us in love and in grace

And lead me to do what is right
And teach me your loving ways
Lead me onward into your truth
For I wait for you all the day long

Tune: Spancilhill

Words: Kiran Young Wimberly © 2022

Be a rock of refuge for me and a fortress when I’m afraid
Incline your ear unto me and come quickly to my aid
Take me from the net that binds me and deliver me from scorn
I commit my spirit to your hands, please shelter me from harm

Rock of refuge, rock of refuge
Rock of refuge, when I am afraid

Be merciful unto me for my heart is in distress
My eyes are filled with grief and my soul is weighted down
My body’s spent with sorrow and my years with sighing, O
My strength it fails from misery, my bones they waste away

Rock of refuge, rock of refuge
Rock of refuge, when I am afraid

But I trust in you forever, for you are my God
My times are in your hand, let your face shine on me now
I’ll praise you and rejoice in you, please listen to my plea
Be a rock of refuge for me and a fortress when I’m afraid

And blessed be the Lord for God’s steadfast love for me
God heard my supplication when I cried out for help
My refuge and my fortress, I will thank God with my song
Be strong all those who wait for God, may courage fill your hearts

Rock of refuge, rock of refuge
Rock of refuge, when I am afraid
